This Theory Class is specifically designed for current JSAC4 students. It will cover elementary level theory based on the RCM Level 1-4 Theory curriculum over three consecutive sessions. Although participation is optional, it is highly recommended for the following reasons:
- RCM Piano Exam Preparation:
- To obtain a RCM piano certificate starting from Grade 5, students must pass the RCM Theory exam. This class will prepare students for this requirement.
- Enhanced Understanding of Musical Concepts:
- Even if not pursuing the RCM piano exam, this class will deepen students’ understanding of key musical concepts such as key signatures, rhythm, chords, composition, music history background etc. These skills are essential for advancing to higher piano grades and will significantly enhance their learning in both private and group lessons.
- Affordable Group Learning:
- Offered by Ms. Alvena Li in a group format at a reduced rate, this class provides an economical alternative to private theory lessons.
